Dear friends & family,
It is our pleasure to announce our official engagement! God is the author of beautiful love stories, and the story He has written in our lives is beyond anything we could have thought or imagined. God has taught us what it means to open ourselves up to love in new ways, to love each other well, and to share life together in Him. We are so excited about building a godly marriage and a home that will weather the storms. Our verses, from the beginning, have been Matthew 7:24-25.
“Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock.”
We approach marriage with Christ as our foundation and know that it is in Him alone that we can honor our vows to each other all the days of our lives.
We are planning to get married in August here in Waco, in a small, private ceremony. The summer gives us time to get settled before the semester starts for both us. Unfortunately, though, we know that means many of our loved ones may not be able to travel in on short notice. We hope to do receptions in December, in North Carolina and Indiana for those that can't join us, as we want to celebrate with all of our friends and family. We'll keep you posted on the details. Hopefully, we'll have a wedding website up soon. (It's on the to-do list!)
We covet your prayers throughout this season and especially for our marriage. We have been blessed to have people stand beside us throughout our relationship, investing in us individually and as a couple. Those prayers, words of encouragement, and support have been greatly appreciated. It has been amazing to see the story that God has written in our lives and so much of that story, of our story, is wrapped up in the community we share with you, our friends and family.
Thank you for celebrating with us! We are thankful for your presence in our lives and look forward to sharing this season with you.

Small weddings are awesome! We had a small wedding with just family and it was so perfect! We had a big reception a month after and we were able to really enjoy visiting with our friends!
